Der Tag startete 8:30 Uhr mit der Erschaffung eines eigenen Kunstwerkes - eines Fensterbildes.
The day was starting at 8:30am with a work of a creation of our own art.
Diena sākās 8:30 ar mūsu pašu mākslas darbu.

Visiting the art school in Jurmala
12:55 Uhr sind wir dann mit der S-Bahn nach Imanta- Jaundulbulti gefahren. Dort haben wir von 13:00 Uhr- 15:00Uhr die Kunstschule von Jūrmala besucht. Wir hatten dort einen Workshop zum Thema: "Kunst und Architektur". Wir haben uns auch Kunstwerke von Schülern an der Schule angeschaut und besichtigten die Schule.
Nach dem Besuch haben wir beliebig einen Spaziergang durch Jūrmala gemacht und uns alles angeschaut und erkundet, wie zum Beispiel den wunderschönen Strand dort, so haben wir den heutigen Tag ausklingen lassen und danach den restlichen Tag in unseren Gastfamilien verbracht.
Das war einer unserer wunderschönen Tage in Lettland.
At 12:55 p.m. we went by train to Imanta-Jaundulbulti, where we visited the Jūrmala art school from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We had a workshop there on the topic: “Art and Architecture”. We also watched artworks from students at the school and we had also a short school tour.
After the visit, we took a walk through Jūrmala at will and looked at and explored everything, such as the beautiful beach there, so we ended the day and spent the rest of the day with our host families. That was one of our wonderful days in Latvia.
Plkst. 12:55 devāmies ar vilcienu uz Jaundulbultiem, kur no plkst. 13:00 viesojāmies Jūrmalas mākslas skolā, līdz plkst. 15:00. Mums tur notika radošā darbnīca par tēmu “Māksla un arhitektūra”. Mēs skatījāmies arī skolas audzēkņu mākslas darbus, kā arī mums bija neliela ekskursija pa skolu. Pēc ciemošanās pastaigājāmies pa Jūrmalu pēc vēlēšanās un apskatījām un izpētījām visu, piemēram, skaisto pludmali, tāpēc dienu noslēdzām un atlikušo dienas daļu pavadījām kopā ar viesģimenēm. Tā bija viena no mūsu lieliskajām dienām Latvijā.

Visiting a lesson
Nach den beiden Stunden nahmen wir für zwei Stunden am Regulären Unterricht in den Klassen unserer Lettischen Austauschschüler teil. Ich hatte Englisch-Unterricht und deswegen auch keine Schwierigkeiten etwas zu verstehen. Ich kann auf jeden Fall sagen das mir der Unterricht sehr gefallen hat und ich die Lehrer an der Schule sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit finde.
Nach den beiden Stunden haben wir zu Mittag gegessen, es gab Spaghetti Bolognese, einen Karotten-Salat und Nachtisch. Mir schmeckt das Essen hier persönlich sehr gut und von den lettischen Austauschschülerinnen und Austauschschülern habe ich auch nur Positives gehört.
After the two lessons we took part for another two lessons in the regular classes of our Latvian partners. I had a English lessons and therefore had no problems to understanding anything. I can definitely say, that I really enjoyed the lessons and that I find, the teachers at the school are very friendly and helpful.
After the two lessons we had lunch, which included Spaghetti Bolognese, a carrot salad and dessert. I personally like the food here and have only heard positive things from the Latvian students.

The world of colors
Heute früh haben wir uns alle gemeinsam um 8:30 Uhr in der Schule getroffen. Von 8:30 Uhr - 10:00 Uhr haben wir Unterricht mit Olga Krukovska gehabt am Projektmodul “The World of Colours” Practical activity: An imagine, a word, a sentiment of me gearbeitet. Wir haben von einem Künstler unsere eigenen Variationen in seinem Still kreiert. Wir hatten dazu verschiedenste Materialien und durften unserer Kreativität freien Lauf lassen.
This morning we met together at 8:30 a.m. at the school of the Latvian students. At first we had lessons with Olga Krukovska from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and worked on the project module “The World of Colors” Practical activity: An imagine, a word, a sentiment of me. We have created our own variations on an artist's style. We used a variety of materials and were allowed to let our creativity run wild.
2024. gada 15. aprīlis. Šajā dienā mums bija darbnīca Rīgas ģimnāzijā Zolitūdē. 8:30 satikāmies skolā. Visi kopā devāmies uz Olgas Krukovskas biroju. Tur mums bija tēma “Krasu pasaule”. Mēs runājām par krāsām un to nozīmi dažādās kultūrās. Par daudziem māksliniekiem, kas strādā ar krasam. Un tad mēs pārgājām uz praktisko darbu. Sākām veidot dažādas maskas no krāsaina papīra. Katrs tajās atrada citu nozīmi. Daži veidoja pašus sevi, daži izdomāja varoņus, bet daži veidoja varoņus no populārām filmām.
Pēc tam mums bija regulāras angļu valodas stundas. Es domāju, ka manam viesim patika šī nodarbība. Pēc divām nodarbībām devāmies ēst. Mēs ar citiem latviešiem skrējām uz veikalu ēst.
Pēc tam visi satikāmies stacijā un devāmies uz Jūrmalu.
Tur mūs gaidīja jauna darbnīca. Daudz griezām un līmējām, bija interesanti. Pēc tam palikām pastaigā pa Jūrmalu un izrādījām viesiem jūru.
Tā pagāja mūsu diena.

Visiting the Art Noveau Museum, City Rallye
Am Samstag sind wir als erstes im Jugenstilmuseum gewesen. Dort haben wir alte Zimmer aus damaliger Zeit besichtigen können. Uns wurde viel darüber erzählt. Es war auch sehr interessant zu sehen, dass jedes Zimmer eine andere Farbe hatte und dazu auch eine andere Bedeutung. Am Ende des Museumbesuchs hatten wir die Möglichkeit alte Kleidung anzuprobieren. Es waren hauptsächlich Hüte für Männer und Frauen. Nach dem Museum waren wir in der Stadt und haben nochmals eine kleine Stadtrallye gemacht. Danach hatten wir Zeit mit den lettischen Familen. Es war ein toller Tag.
On Saturday we went to the Art Noveau Museum first. There we were able to view old rooms from that time. We got a lot of information about it. It was also very interesting to see, that each room had a different color and a different meaning. At the end of the visit we had the opportunity to use old clothes. They were mainly hats for men and women. After the visit we went into the city center and did another little city rallye. Afterwards we had time with the Latvian families. It was a great day.
Sestdien, 13. aprīlī, vispirms devāmies uz Jūgendstila muzeju. Tur varējām apskatīt vecās telpas no tā laika. Mums par to daudz stāstīja. Bija arī ļoti interesanti redzēt, ka katrai telpai ir cita krāsa un cita nozīme. Muzeja apmeklējuma noslēgumā mums bija iespēja pielaikot veco apģērbu. Tās galvenokārt bija vīriešu un sieviešu cepures. Pēc muzeja mēs devāmies uz pilsētu un vēl vienu nelielu pilsētas mītiņu. Pēc tam pavadījām laiku ar latviešu ģimenēm. Tā bija lieliska diena.

Visiting Castle Bauska and Castle Rundale
Heute haben wir die erste Stunde des Unterrichts unsere Austauschschüler begleitet. Die Stunde ging von 8:30 Uhr bis 9:10 Uhr. Wir hatten Englisch und es war wirklich interessant am Unterricht teilzunehmen. Danach sind wir alles zusammen mit dem Bus auf Schloss „Bauska“ und Schloss „Rundale“ gefahren.
Beide Schlösser waren wunderschön und sehr beeindruckend. Auf Schloss Rundale mussten wir nebenbei auch einen Zettel ausfüllen, mit Fragen zu dem Schloss. Letztendlich sind wir dann wieder mit dem Bus nach Hause gefahren. Wir alle waren erschöpft. Als wir alle angekommen waren haben wir den restlichen Abend mit unserem Familien verbracht. Der Tag im allgemeinen war sehr schön.
Today we accompanied the first hour of lessons for our exchange students. The hour was going from 8:30 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. We had English and it was really interesting to take part in the class. Then we all went together by bus to “Bauska” Castle and “Rundale” Castle. Both castles were beautiful and very impressive. At Rundale Castle we also had to fill out a piece of paper with questions about the castle. Finally we took the bus home again. We were all exhausted. When we all arrived our homes we spent the rest of the evening with our families. The day in general was very nice.
Piektdien, 12. aprīlī, mēs pavadījām pirmo nodarbību stundu mūsu apmaiņas skolēniem. Stunda ilga no 8:30 līdz 9:10. Mums bija angļu valoda, un bija ļoti interesanti piedalīties nodarbībā. Pēc tam visi kopā ar autobusu devāmies uz “Bauskas” pili un “Rundāles” pili. Abas pilis bija skaistas un ļoti iespaidīgas. Rundāles pilī bija arī jāaizpilda lapiņa ar jautājumiem par pili. Beidzot ar autobusu atkal braucām mājās. Mēs visi bijām pārguruši. Kad visi ieradāmies, atlikušo vakara daļu pavadījām ar savām ģimenēm. Diena kopumā bija ļoti jauka.

Sightseeing rallye
Zu guter letzt hatten zwei lettische Schülerinnen noch einen Stadtrundgang mit verschiedenen Aufgaben vorbereitet, die wir innerhalb von einer Stunde lösen sollten. Danach hatten wir Freizeit und jeder machte etwas mit seinem Austauschschüler.
Last but not least, two Latvian students had prepared a tour of the city with various tasks that we were supposed to solve within an hour. Afterwards we had free time and everyone did something with their exchange student.
Pēdējais, bet ne mazāk svarīgais, divi Latvijas skolēni bija sagatavojuši ekskursiju pa pilsētu ar dažādiem uzdevumiem, kas mums bija jāatrisina stundas laikā. Pēc tam mums bija brīvs laiks un katrs kaut ko darīja ar savu apmaiņas skolēnu.

Visiting the Museum of Art, creating an installation
Um 11:45 hatten wir Mittagessen. Nachdem alle fertig gegessen hatten, gingen wir zum Bus, um in die Stadt zu fahren. Die Busfahrt dauerte etwa 20 Minuten. Als wir ankamen, gingen wir zum zum Kunstmuseum und schauten uns ein paar Gemälde an. Wir wurden von einer sehr netten Frau herumgeführt, die dann später auch einen Workshop mit uns machte. Wir hatten die Aufgabe, aus einer Box verschiedene Gegenstände als ein Kunstwerk aufzubauen und hatten dafür 15 Minuten Zeit. Als die Zeit um war, schauten wir uns alle Werke an.
At 11:45 a. m. we had lunch and when everyone had finished eating we went to the bus to go into the city center. The bus ride took about 20 minutes and when we arrived, we went to the art museum and looked at a few paintings. We were shown around by a very nice woman who did a workshop with us later. We had the task of building various objects out of a box as a work of art. We had 15 minutes to do this and when the time was up we looked at all the finished artworks.
11:45 paēdām pusdienas un kad visi bija paēduši devāmies uz autobusu, lai dotos uz pilsētu. Brauciens ar autobusu ilga apmēram 20 minūtes un kad ieradāmies, devāmies uz mākslas muzeju un apskatījām dažas gleznas. Mūsu ekskursiju vadīja ļoti jauka sieviete, kura vēlāk kopā ar mums taisīja darbnīcu. Mums bija uzdevums no kastes uzbūvēt no dažiem objektiem mākslas darbu- instalāciju, tam bija iedotas 15 minūtes un, kad laiks beidzās, apskatījām visus darbus.

Workshop using AI
Für uns ging es dann weiter mit einem AI workshop… Dieser wurde von der Englischlehrerin Adriana Martinkēviča angeleitet. Zuerst sollten wir einen Code scannen, wodurch wir auf eine Website gelangten, wo wir Fragen rund um das Thema beantworten sollten. Danach gingen wir in Gruppen zusammen. Diese bestanden immer aus vier Schülerinnen und Schülern, die beliebig zusammengewürfelt wurden. Wir bekamen dann eine Aufgabe die daraus bestand, eine Geschichte zur erfinden und dazu durch ein AI-Programm Bilder erstellen zu lassen. Danach stellten wir die fertigen Geschichten vor der Gruppe vor. Es war teilweise sehr kreativ und witzig.
Then we continued the day with an AI workshop. This was led by the English teacher Adriana Martinkēviča. First we had to scan a code, which took us to a website where we had to answer questions about the topic. Afterwards we went together in groups. These always consisted of four students who were randomly thrown together. We were then given a task that consisted of inventing a story and creating pictures using an AI program. At the end we presented the finished stories to the group. It was sometimes very creative and funny.
Pēc tam turpinājām ar AI darbnīcu... to vadīja angļu valodas skolotāja Adriana Martinkēviča. Vispirms mums bija jāskenē kods, kas mūs aizveda uz vietni, kur mums bija jāatbild uz jautājumiem par tēmu. Pēc tam devāmies kopā grupās. Tie vienmēr sastāvēja no četriem skolēniem, kuri tika nejauši izvelēti strādāt kopā. Pēc tam mums tika dots uzdevums, kas sastāvēja no stāsta izgudrošanas un attēlu atlases, izmantojot AI programmu. Pēc tam gatavus stāstus prezentējām klasei. Dažreiz tas bija ļoti radoši un smieklīgi.

Welcome and sightseeing at school
Heute hat der Tag für uns um 8:20 Uhr begonnen. Wir trafen uns vor dem Zimmer der Schulleiterin bis wir komplett waren. Danach gingen wir hinein und sie erzählte uns verschiedene Fakten über die Schule. Danach stellten wir unsere Sachen in einem Raum ab und anschließend folgte eine Schulführung. Für mich und viele andere Schüler war das Schwimmbecken der Schule sehr beeindruckend.
Today the day started at 8:20 a. m.. We met in front the room of the headmistress until we were complete. After that we went inside and she told us different facts about the school. Afterwards we put our things in to a room and then we went on a school tour and we got showed around. For me and many other students, the school's swimming pool was very impressive.
Šodien mūsu diena sākās 8:20. Mēs tikāmies pie direktores istabas. Pēc tam mēs iegājām iekšā un viņa mums pastāstīja dažādus faktus par skolu. Pēc tam nolikām mantas istabā un tad devāmies ekskursijā pa skolu. Man un daudziem citiem skolēniem skolas peldbaseins likas ļoti iespaidīgs.
